What does a website cost?
A simple one-page site starts at £300 to build and then £15 a month. A few-page site starts at £500 to build and then £20 a month. The monthly fee covers hosting, backups, security and the small changes you send us. There are no long contracts and you can cancel any time.
What does the monthly fee actually cover?
Hosting on fast, secure infrastructure, regular backups, security and software updates, and the everyday changes you ask for, like new prices, opening hours, photos or a seasonal note. You do not pay per change and there is nothing extra to buy.
Do I have to update it myself?
No, and that is rather the point. There is no website builder to learn and no login to remember. You email us the changes and we make them for you, usually within a working day or two.
Do I need to provide the words and photos?
You send us your best photos and the key details about your business, and we shape it into a tidy site that matches how you already appear on our maps and listings. You check it before it goes live.
What about the domain name and email?
We can handle all of it. We will register a new domain for you, take over one you already have, or simply work alongside a domain and email you would rather keep. We can host your email too if you want it all in one place. And if you ever move on, your site, domain and email come with you. No lock-in.
Will it show up on Google?
Yes. Every site is built to be found, set up properly for search, and linked from your Explore Scotland or Explore Western Isles listing if you advertise with us too.
